The Motion Control System for Short Time to Market
NYCe 4000 is a highly flexible system. To support this flexibility, system configuration software has been developed to make it easy for the user to configure the system at startup or even during runtime. The configuration software is used to configure axes, motor and feedback types, I/O lines and safety settings. It is also used to upgrade the NYCe 4000 when new firmware or gateware is made available.
To get the maximum performance out of a motion control system, easy tuning of axes if very important. NYCe 4000 offers a sophisticated tuning package that can be used to automatically tune axes without the need of being a specialist. For the specialist the tuning package has a wealth of possibilities for generating test signals and setting all control and filter parameters. A software scope on the PC screen visualizes all data in the system, making tuning in time domain and in frequency domain very effective. |

For applications having the need for user specific control algorithms, ‘User-Definable Control’ is the answer. With this software functionality, Rexroth offers its customers the possibility to develop optimal control loops for complex mechanical systems in much less time than was previously possible.
With the User-Definable Control complex control loops can be quickly developed using pre-defined control blocks to connect to the standard NYCe 4000 functionality. The developed custom algorithms are converted to automatically generated code, which can be downloaded to any NYCe 4000 controller. This enables the new software to provide dynamic control for complex non-linear motion control. User-Definable Control will help machine builders to get new machines to market faster than ever.

For more information on the NYCe 4000 system see the Rexroth NYCe 4000 brochure. |
