The new series of electromechanical actuators with ball screw from Rexroth enables high feed speeds even with heavy loads.
All important components come from Rexroth's service-proven range of standard products, including three different stepping and servo motors with various performance profiles.
The mechanism is based on the tried and tested rolling precision ball screw drives in all common combinations of diameter and pitch. Performance characteristics such as precision of positioning, axial load and speed can be optimized in accordance with the requirements of the individual application.
Using a screw drive rules out the stick-slip effect associated with other designs and increases the repeat accuracy of the overall system.
By using ideally-dimensioned inclined axial roller bearings, the load rating of the ball screw drive can be utilized to the maximum. There is an extensive range of possibilities to choose from in the drive configuration and the fastening elements.
The new components fully comply with protection class IP65, and thanks to the use of corrosion-resistant material are ideal for applications in packaging systems with frequent cleaning cycles. Similarly, the robust combination of power and speed promise substantial benefits in dosing and processing systems, in machine tools and woodworking machines, and in general automation.
Electric or pneumatic?
Rexroth also has a comprehensive portfolio of pneumatic piston rod cylinders.
Pneumatic solutions are suitable mainly for adopting 2 fixed positions.
