[01.04.2012] With sugar? Yes please!

M.F. snc Macchine Automatiche builds high-performance machines for precisely

Espresso without sugar is not really espresso. In Europe alone, coffee connoisseurs consume several million packets of this sweet crystalline powder every year. As the unit price is less than half a cent, the sugar envelopes must be filled as cost-effectively as possible, and with high throughput rates. The Italian manufacturer M.F. snc Macchine Automatiche builds high-performance machines for precisely this task: its Stick Pack type filling machine fills up to 600 elongated sugar packets per minute on ten lines.

[16.09.2011] Quickly packed chocolate bars

One controller handles three delta robots

Easier installation at the customer plant is just one of the benefits gained by designing a multi-robot pick-and-place machine governed by a single controller. Demands for greater speed and efficiency have spurred Cama to come up with its latest packaging machinery innovation: the Triaflex.

[20.05.2011] One-Stop Chocolate Production

New production line makes full use of optimization potential

At first glance, a chocolate candy would appear to be no more than a simple product. Things get more complicated when it comes to the high-tech processes and modern automation concepts used to make it – but the processing lines involved hold immense potential.

[20.02.2011] Quick change artist

A new screen printing line built by Kammann minimizes the time needed to change out the inking unit and thus saves money.

One hour – that’s the maximum time needed to ready the K15 CNC screen printing press for the next job. Refitting conventional presses can take as much as four hours and extensive mechanical work is involved. A single set-up cycle can thus consume half the running time available in a shift.

[20.01.2011] Trans module cares for flexible packaging processes

Today packaging machines must be able to be adjusted quickly and flexibly on changing packagings, because the markets require a high type diversity with at the same moment sinking lot sizes. >More in German
